Cherwell Theatre Company are proud to be part of a consortium of changemakers on the Home Office initiative, 'Safer Streets'.
Endorsed by the Thames Valley Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), CTC will deliver a series of arts-based programmes to secondary schools in Banbury and the surrounding areas, as part of the wider Safer Streets offering, which aims to reduce crime & antisocial behaviour, reduce violence against women and girls and increase feelings of safety.
Our 'Enact' intervention will explore themes of healthy relationships and schools-based gendered abuse using creative art forms to promote and encourage thought-provoking conversation. Through a series of classroom based workshops, students will go on to design and deliver arts-based workshops to younger students in their school alongside a play devised and performed by professional creatives and shared in a professional setting.
