Young Theatre Makers
Are you passionate about crafting your own theatre pieces? Join our "Young Theatre Makers" group! In our first series, we'll explore storytelling, character creation, and scriptwriting. It's a chance to learn, create, and collaborate.
Anyone who would like to attend is welcome to join at any time. It’s a group for those who are interested in developing an idea for a play, a poem, a film script or any other creative endeavour.
Theatre Makers work on practical exercises exploring story structure, plot and form. And support each other in developing and writing their own pieces.
In 'Young Theatre Makers' sessions recently we have been exploring where stories come from and how to harness them through exercises developing structure, dialectic, form and meaning. We have several plays in development, including a sequel to 'The Mutineers' (produced by CTC in 2022) and a new theatre adaptation of a much loved YA novel. All abilities and backgrounds are welcome to join the group.
Sessions are free, and all are welcome. We'll adapt the schedule based on the groups needs and interests, so come and shape our journey together!
