Learn theatre skills, build confidence and meet other young people.

Saturday Drama Workshops

 

Cherwell Theatre Company are launching NEW Saturday Drama Workshops for 5-7yrs and 8-10yrs from Autumn Term 2023!

 

These weekly sessions are for children aged 5-10 years to explore their creativity, build confidence and make new friends.

 

Date: Saturdays 23rd September 2023

Time: 9am-9.45am (5-7yrs) / 10am-11am (8-10yrs)

Young Theatre Makers

 

Are you passionate about crafting your own theatre pieces? Join our new "Young Theatre Makers" group! In our first series, we'll explore storytelling, character creation, and scriptwriting. It's a chance to learn, create, and collaborate.

Sessions are free, and all are welcome. We'll adapt the schedule based on the groups needs and interests, so come and shape our journey together!

 

Date: Various Wednesdays throughout the year.

Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm (age 11+)

Free Creative Arts Weekly Programme

 

The ‘Amplify’ programme enhances CTC’s commitment to raising up the voices and aspirations of the young people of Banbury through a weekly on-going programme of creative workshops in the community.

Participation on the Amplify programme is free of charge. The groups run on a weekly basis on the following days:

The Hill Community Centre: Thursdays 4.00pm-5.30pm

Let's Play Project: Saturdays 10.00am-11.30am

Banbury Mosque Girls Group: Thursdays 4.45pm-5.45pm,
Banbury Mosque Boys Group: Thursday 6.00pm-7.00pm

Banbury Mosque Key Stage 1 & 2: Saturday 11.00am-12.00pm
Style Acre: Wednesdays 10am-11.30am

One to One Mentorship

We offer a free mentorship programme, designed collaboratively with participants to reflect their needs and aspirations. Sessions are delivered online and face to face by our experienced staff.

Our young people are:

  • Creating poetry

  • Writing songs

  • Scripting plays

  • Devising Stand Up Comedy routines

  • Writing stories

  • Auditions Preparation for University or Drama School
