Cherwell Theatre Company is delighted to be offering Easter drama workshops and experiences this April. With a range of opportunities from ages 5-25 years so there really is something for everyone to enjoy! Here’s what’s on offer:
A Play in a Week Production for ages 10-25 years
The Changing Room is a promenade piece set in and around a swimming pool. The play, written by Chris Bush follows a group of young people full of excitement, impatience and uncertainty, each with their own secret worries and desires for what comes next.
The company are collaborating with Hill View School choir to stage the immersive production over the Easter holidays, and around 50 young people will take part during the Easter holidays. We welcome other young people aged 10+ to join us in staging the piece from the 11th to the 15th April at Banbury College, with exciting opportunities to act in the show, or take on back-stage theatre roles.
“All are welcome to sign up, with no experience necessary” said Mr Jackson-Pate “the play is fun, engaging, and relatable, or so CTC members tell me. It even has catchy song and dance numbers too!”

The performances will take place at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Saturday 16 April at Woodgreen Leisure Centre. They are suitable for ages 10+ and are free to attend but tickets must be booked in advance here: https://bit.ly/3DxpVY5
A Play in 3 Days for ages 7-11 years
Our Interactive & Immersive Pirate Adventure offers a fun and creative storytelling experience over three days with a performance for friends and family. Taking place at Banbury College from 19th-21st April from 10.00am-3.00pm, the cost is £20 per person with bursaries available.
A Day of Drama and Creativity for ages 5-8 years
Taking place on 21st April from 10.30-3.30pm a Banbury College, our fun Easter themed day is perfect to excite and engage little ones for only £5 per person with bursaries available. Come along and enjoy this Easter Eggs-perience!
