Cherwell Theatre Company proudly presents.....
'Sing, O muses, tell us a tale
Of heroes and halfwits, who thrive and who fail'
Cherwell Theatre Company leap out of lockdown with a thrilling sequel to their 2019 play MYTH, which explored classic tales from Ancient Greece.
This summer, MYTH II: Bigger, better and funnier because we need it after a global pandemic (our working title) re-tells stories of the great heroes of the Bronze Age alongside some of the halfwits who were foolish enough to challenge the mighty Olympians Gods.
From the pluck of Perseus to the arrogance of Arachne, great literary characters will astound and appall you in this hilarious new play featuring live music, slapstick comedy, dazzling puppetry and a Greek chorus to boot!
This vibrant community project, devised by professional theatre makers in collaboration with young people, is presented as a series of 'pop up festival' events featuring performances from other local groups and artists.
This project has been made possible by funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, Cherwell District Council, Pye Charitable Trust, Boris Karloff Foundation, Coral Samuel Charitable Trust, Sanctuary Housing, Didymus Charity, and Bicester Town Council.
